- Have 'mostly' recovered from post-vacation flu. Yup...the vacation sucked the energy right outta me for a whole week pretty much.
Just the getting ready to go is enough for to get a girl into a tizzy. Or 5 girls, and twice as many things that is.
The kids excitement level climbed steadily all week, until it was near combustion level Friday!
By the time we, all of our things and food got into the vehicle to leave, it exploded! It felt like the longest drive I've ever taken, and it was only the 2 1/2 regular trip to my parents farms.
Yikes. Well...eventually we arrived.
The visits were as they were expected to be. All animals, and exploration, dirty faces and toes! A small rodeo, put on by the children attempting to ride horseback. The part I was a bit concerned for...that came true. The kids, never ones to disappoint, walked straight into my Mom's house and announced that it stunk. Let's Go Crazy did have a near melt down over the chicken in the quessadillas, announcing that they just,"Didn't like the food here!" Always one to speak her mind.
Next lesson: Tact
But all in all, I think we will get invited back!
The ride home was very quiet indeed.
